He is survived by: his mother Delphia Lucille Issacs Rice; his wife Loretta Jones Rice; his son Wendell Andrew Rice (Lindsay); his siblings, Wendell Dale Rice Jr. (Vanessa) and Bobbie Rice; and his grandchildren, Carter Rice, Shandrea and Shandre Jones.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers donations can be made to his memorial fund.
