He was predeceased by: his wives, Mary Fugate and Stella Fugate; his parents, Floyd H. and Farinda Campbell Fugate; and his siblings, Bob Fugate, Burlie Fugate, Martha Roberts and Helen Jean Hurt.

He is survived by: his sister Plina Bryan; and his close friends, Timothy Horn, Shellie Horn, Kennedy Horn and Jalee Horn. He is also survived by nephews and nieces.
