He was predeceased by: his parents, Moffat Barrett and Nancye Arnold Barrett; his wife Betty Ruth; and his brothers, Paul Edwin Barrett and Moffat Barrett, Jr..
He is survived by: his sons, Larry W. Barrett (Pam) of Beattyville, Kentucky and Anthony Ray Barrett of Beattyville, Kentucky; his sisters, Janet McGuire of Beattyville and Juanita Ryker of Versailles, Kentucky; his friend Brandon M. Griffith; and his pet Toby. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Lee County High School Band.
