He was predeceased by: his parents, Emanuel Blackwell, Sr. and Ethel Allen Blackwell; his wife Juelma Marlowe Blackwell; his son James Blackwell (Jim); and his siblings, Jeweldine Welch and Gene Allen Blackwell.
He is survived by: his daughters, Rosemary Barnes Mt (Roger) and Rebecca Carr Richmond (Jim); his daughter-in-law Kim Blackwell; his grandchildren, Mary Lynn Richardson, June Allison McCreary, Marlowe Steger, Maria Pennington, Gina Rose, Christopher Carr, Lesley Oswald, Lance Blackwell, Chase Blackwell, Jerry Von Chaney and Niki Lainhart; and his sisters, Katsy Witt and Barbara Shoemaker. He is also survived by 26 great-grandchildren; two great great-grandchildren.
