He is survived by: his wife Hope Hughes; his sons, James Hood Hughes (Elizabeth) of Irvine, KY and Wayne Hughes (Diane) of Henderson, KY.; his granddaughters, Melissa Clements (Drew) of Niagara, KY and Andrea Engelbrecht of Newburgh, IN.; his sister Peggy Clines of Cave City, KY; his sister-in-law Lavana Hughes of Cave City, KY; his nephew Clay Ginter (Samantha); and his nieces, Alison Napier (Josh), Theresa Barbee (Jeff) and Melodye Gabbard (Kelley).
