Douglas Lane Kirby Obituary
We are sad to announce that on December 31, 2024, at the age of 83, Douglas Lane Kirby of Irvine, Kentucky passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Kirby and Elsie Scrivner Kirby; his wife Provie Mae Barker Kirby; his daughter Peggy Sue Kirby; and his brother Richard Kirby.
He is survived by: his children, Ricky Kirby (Brenda), Timothy Kirby (Pam) and Regina Oliver (Neal); his grandchildren, Ansela (John), Jon (Annie), Eric (Courtney), Kayla (Josh), Asha (Demetrius), Emily, Caitlin (Derek) and Nicholas (Savannah); his great grandchildren, Adam, Caleb, Emma, Colt Douglas, Gracie Mae, Beckett, Abram, Sophia, Bishop, Xavier, Tucker, Benny and Weston; and his siblings, Jerry Kirby (Vydra) and Dixie McQueen. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and many other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 3rd 2025 from 5:30 PM to 9:00 PM at the Thomas Baptist Church (5989 Wisemantown Rd, Irvine, KY 40336). A funeral service was held on Saturday, January 4th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
