She was predeceased by: her parents, Otha Puckett (Bud) and Anna Mae Spivey Puckett; her sons, Sherman Gay III and Robert Wayne Gay; and her brother Billy Lee Puckett.
She is survived by: her husband Albert D. Sparks; her son David Gay (Andrea); her stepsons, Lonnie Sparks (Shelly) and James Sparks (Jennifer); her grandchildren, Jamie Katelyne Sparks, Alyssa Sparks and Bryson Sparks; her great grandchild Carter Sparks; and her siblings, Larry Puckett (Joyce) and Patricia Lambert.
