He was predeceased by: his parents, Andrew Brinegar and Velda Plowman Brinegar; his wife Mattie Frances Osborne Brinegar; and his siblings, Lucy Fraley, Chester and Millard Brinegar.
He is survived by: his children, Kathy Smith (Phillip), Jerry Wayne Brinegar (Barbara), Ricky Joe Brinegar (Karen Ann), Michael Lee Brinegar (Thelma), Roy Lynn Brinegar (Annette) and Jeffery Quienten Brinegar (Trish); and his siblings, Bertha Marville, Madison Co, Pam Brewer, Powell Co, Paul Brinegar, Estill Co, Ollie Brinegar and Tom Brinegar. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren.
