She was predeceased by: her parents, Eli Blevins and Vada Curtis Blevins; her husband Sherman Gay; her son Phillip W. Gay; and her siblings, Edward, Hargis Blevins, Thelma Flannery and Della Johns.
She is survived by: her grandsons, Sherman Gay III, Jason Gay and Robert Gay; her great grandchild James Sneed; her children, Linda G. Crowe (Shelby), Sherman Gay Jr. and Eli Gay (Sherry); and her grandchildren, Bradley Crowe (Amy), Amy (Len) of Delaware, Melissa Gay, David Gay (Andrea), Phillip Gay Jr., Nicki Tipton, Jodi Shelton and Jamie Shelton.
