He was predeceased by: his parents, Herbert James and Betsy Fannin James; and his siblings, Lee James, Zephinar James and Flora Williamson.
He is survived by: his wife Alene James (Ooten); his children, Rick James (Brenda) of Inez, KY, Micky James (Carla) of Mississippi, Elizabeth Ann Little (Douglas) of Paintsville, KY and Sandra James of Inez, KY; and his sister Ann Bowen of Marion, OH.. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
