She was predeceased by: her parents, Garland Ooten and Rosa Mae Ooten (Burke); her husband Edgar James; and her siblings, Howard Ooten, Arvel Ooten and Hannah Wooten.
She is survived by: her children, Rick James (Brenda) of Inez, KY, Micky James (Carla) of Mississippi, Elizabeth Ann Little (Douglas) of Paintsville, KY and Sandra James of Inez, KY; and her brothers, Tommy Ooten of Chapmanville, WV, Wendell Ooten of Rum Creek, WV and Johnny Adkins of North Carolina. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
