We are sad to announce that on June 18, 2024, at the age of 90, Virginia Brandenburg of Independence, Kentucky, born in Covington, Kentucky passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Joseph Keller and Josephine Keller; her husband George "Gene" Brandenburg; her siblings, Tom, Alice, JoAnn, Rosie and Helen "Honey"; and her son-in-law Kent Hoxby.

She is survived by : her children, Ken Brandenburg (Linda), Jeanne Lester (Scott), Barbara Hoxby, Connie Gross, John Brandenburg (Linda) and Craig Brandenburg (Tricia); her sister Ruth "Bootsy" Stubbe; and her siblings-in-law, Jodie Keller and Frank Wichmann. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, June 25th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the Linnemann Funeral Homes (30 Commonwealth Ave, Erlanger, KY 41018). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Tuesday, June 25th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the St Paul Catholic Church (7301 Dixie Hwy, Florence, KY 41042).

Ginny's family would like to express their gratitude to the caregivers and medical staff who provided compassionate care during her final days and would like donations made in her memory to St. Elizabeth Hospice.
