Mary JoAnn Hicks Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mary JoAnn Hicks of Independence, Kentucky, who passed away on January 28, 2025, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, George Mosher and Melva Mosher; her son Gary Hicks (Valerie); her siblings, Melva "Cookie" Hammond, George Mosher and Leslie Trapp; and her grandson Greg Hicks.
She is survived by: her children, Charles "Chaz" Hicks Jr. (Deborah Jean), Steven Hicks (Jaqueline), Julie Unthank (John), Brian Hicks (Laura) and Debbie Hicks (Joel); and her siblings, Jerry Mosher and Carol Ashcraft. She is also survived by eleven grandchildren, and many great-grandchildren.
A graveside service was held on Saturday, February 1st 2025 from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the Independence Cemetery (5358 Madison Pike, Independence, KY 41051). A funeral service was held on Saturday, February 1st 2025 at 3:00 PM.
