He was predeceased by: his parents, Jim Martin and Rebecca Martin (Tig); his wife Eula Martin; his son Robert Martin; and his siblings, Dave Martin and Nola Jordan.

He is survived by: his children, James Martin (Emily) and Barbara Baxter (Gary); and his sister Venetta Cobb. He is also survived by three grandchildren.
