It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lois Howard of Independence, Kentucky, born in Hazard, Kentucky, who passed away on October 26, 2023, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Dennis Thornsberry and Dorothy Thornsberry; and her daughter Sandra Johnson. She is survived by: her husband Don Howard; and her children, Charlotte Goins and Donald Stephen Howard. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren.
