He was predeceased by: his parents, John D. Ramey, Sr. and Barbara Anne Reed Ramey; his pet Trigger; and also Joe Sublett. He is survived by: his daughter Heather Ramey of Harlan; his aunts, Ella Thurston of Louisville and Edith Roe of Lexington; his goddaughter Olivia Ratliff; his close friends, Kent Miles and Russell Williams; and also Carolyn Garner of Mt. Sterling.
