It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Joan Ellen Phillips of Independence, Kentucky, who passed away on February 26, 2021, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Phillips and Gertrude Phillips (Baker); her daughter Brandi Fields; her granddaughter Jazmine Faith Casey; and her siblings, Betty, Roger, Freddy, Frankie and Barney.
She is survived by: her husband Brian Smith; her children, Benny Fields II (Brittany) and Amy Duncan; her grandchildren, Amya, Ashleigh, Madison, Payton, Bennitt, Katherine, Alexander, Sage, Liam, Hayley, Maria and Gabrielle; her great grandchildren, Leomie, Oaklynn, Nolan and Viola; and her siblings, Pauline, Barb, Odell, Kathy, Larry and Charles. She is also survived by friends, and relatives.
Due to the current Covid-19 state restrictions we will be limiting our building occupancy to 50% of normal capacity while still enforcing 6 feet of social distancing and requiring the wearing of face masks.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to the family for funeral expenses and other ongoing expenses through Chambers and Grubbs.
