He was predeceased by: his parent Pearl Deaton; and his siblings, Owen Deaton, William "Bill" Deaton, Paul Deaton, Oda Schuchardt and Mary Elizabeth Combs.
He is survived by: his wife Bonnie Deaton; his son Jerry Deaton (Tina); his sister Elsie Hall; his granddaughters, Michelle Suzanne Deaton and Stefanie Marie Deaton; and his great grandchild Isaiah Scott Kerr. He is also survived by many other friends and relatives.
