We are sad to announce that on January 4, 2025, Elijah Hicks of Independence, Kentucky passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid Elijah farewell, let us not mourn the absence of his physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of his spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Elijah is not truly gone, but merely transformed, his energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
He is survived by: his parents, DeeAnn Hicks and David Shelton; his brother Jeremiah Hicks; his grandparents, John, Anita Hicks, Gary and Diana McKee; his aunts, Nessie Johnson (Dana) and Christina Hicks; and his cousins, Aaron Hicks, Coree Hicks and Bryzon Hicks.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, January 14th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Swindler & Currin Funeral Home (5245 Madison Pike, Independence, KY 41051). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, January 14th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
