We are sad to announce that on January 9, 2025, at the age of 57, Dennis Smith of Independence, Kentucky passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward and LaVerne; his brother Jeffrey Smith; and his daughter Chelsea Schweinefuss. He is survived by: his sons, Tyler Smith (Lexie), Kyle Smith (Courtney) and Ryan Smith (Aarte); his grandson Levi Smith; and his siblings, Therese Degenhart, Kathy Genever (Jack), Doug Smith, Tim Smith (Linda), Sandy Smith, Laura Smith, Michelle Wilbur (Richard) and Jacqueline Meadows (Tim Neumann). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 from 12:30 PM to 2:30 PM at the Chambers & Grubbs Funeral Home - Independence (11382 Madison Pike, Independence, KY 41051). A burial was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 3:30 PM at the St. Cecilia Catholic Church (5313 Madison Pike, Independence, KY 41051). A funeral service was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 at the Chambers and Grubbs Funeral Home (11382 Madison Pike, Independence, KY 41051).
