He was predeceased by: his brother Steve Pennington; and his father-in-law Sillus Marsee. He is survived by: his wife Karen Pennington; his children, Jennifer Pennington and Branden Pennington; his grandchildren, Levi Pennington, Paige and Andrew; his siblings, Carla Spencer and Delmy Rooks; and his mother-in-law Shirley Marsee. He is also survived by many other friends and relatives.

Memorial donations can be made in his name to Grace United Baptist Church, 642 Tupelo Dr. Independence, KY 41051.
