He was predeceased by: his parents, Simon Messer and Ruby Messer. He is survived by: his wife KAren Messer; his sons, Christopher Messer and Michael Messer; his siblings, Willie Joe Messer, Charlie Messer, Betty Sue Pianpek and Martha Ann Schmidt; and his granddaughter Melody Rose Messer.
