With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Anna Shumaker (Independence, Kentucky), born in Pendleton County, Kentucky, who passed away on November 9, 2020 at the age of 84. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Anna Shumaker to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her husband Dane; her parents, Ercil and Johanna; her son James Sorrell; her grandson Jeffrey Johnson; and her siblings, Birdie Bruin, Thelma Jenkins and Franklin Vanlandingham.
She is survived by: her children, Paul Sorrell (Tanya) of Morning View, Mark Sorrell (Tresa) of Xenia, OH, Peggy Knochelman (Alan) of Morning View, Lisa Shumaker (Steve Turner) of Williamstown and Christopher Shumaker of Morning View; and her siblings, Ercil "Benny" Vanlandingham and Joyce Beckett (Punky). She is also survived by 16 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandchild.
Due to the current Covid-19 state restrictions, the wearing of face masks is mandatory, temperatures will be taken before entrance into the funeral home and attendance will be limited to 50% of the funeral home's capacity, while still maintaining 6 feet of social distancing.
