He is survived by: his sons, Jeff Short, Andy of Athens, TN., Kevin Short and Morgan of Merritt Island, FL.; the mother of his children Stella Brock Short of Warbranch, KY.; his siblings, Floyd Short of Cumberland, KY., Graylon Short (Mary), Everett Short (Kaye), Mary Brock of Helton, KY., Delores Bullins of Indianapolis, IN., Ruthie Short of Tazewell, TN. and Nena Short of Knoxville, TN.; and his grandchildren, Emma Kay Maxberry, Braxton Short and Colson Short. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives & friends.
