He was predeceased by: his parents, Reuben Adams and Eva Hoskins Adams; and his siblings, Leonard, Charlie, Albert, William, Carl, Elmer Adams, Matt Adams, Marie Young, Pearlie Morgan, Della Roberts, Roberta Haggard and Juanita Bowling.
He is survived by: his wife Shirley Bowling Adams of Hyden; his son Owen "O. J."; and his sisters, Martha Patton of Lexington, KY and Florence Barger (Harold) of Hyden, KY.. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
