Margaret Sue Stacy Hightower Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Margaret Sue Stacy Hightower (Hyden, Kentucky), who passed away on December 27, 2024 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, George K. Stacy and Pearlie Adams Stacy; her husband Rev. James Hightower; and her siblings, Harold Stacy, L. B. Stacy, Mary Lillian Hurt, Naomi Ruth Watson and Melda Faye Sizemore.
She is survived by: her children, Julian Hightower (Sandy) of Cumberland and Suzanne Hightower Melton (Scott) of Wooton; her granddaughter Staci Farmer (Brent); her great grandchild Henry Parker Farmer; and her sister Betty Ann Ponder (Foster) of Melbourne. She is also survived by relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, December 31st 2024 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Walker Funeral Homes (155 Hickory St, Hyden, KY 41749). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, January 1st 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to the Muncy Creek Baptist Church, C/O P.O. Box 948 Hyden, KY 41749.
