She was predeceased by: her parents, Tinsley Whitehead and Viona Brock Whitehead; her brother Tinsley Jr. Whitehead; her brother-in-law Charlie Simpson; and her nephews, David and Caleb Holland.
She is survived by: her husband Glenn Simpson; her daughter Rita Sandlin (Michael); her brothers, Lester Whitehead and Ronnie "Bubboy" Whitehead; her grandchildren, Kaitlyn Quillon (Chris) and Jalon Sandlin; her nieces and nephews, Bradley Smallwood and Sariah Howard; and her sisters, Patricia Nantz, Shirley Brock, Omeda Holland, Faye Simpson and Juanita Soto (John). She is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
In Lieu of flowers the family ask that donations be made to the Dwayne Walker Funeral Home for the funeral expense.
