She was predeceased by: her parents, Rev. Luther Hollister and Helen Fisk Hollister; her husband Joseph Carpenter, Jr.; her parents-in-law, Joseph E., Sr. and Josephine Novak Carpenter; and her brother-in-law Danny Ferguson.
She is survived by: her children, Barbara Carpenter, Joseph E. Carpenter and Karen (James Arno); her grandchildren, Abigail Carpenter, Madelyn Carpenter, James Joseph Arno and Reese Arno; her sister Theda (Carl Wolfe); her sister-in-law Barbara Ferguson; and her nieces and nephews, Roland Giroux, Lorraine Beamer, Holly Wolfe, Helena Wolfe and Ned Wolfe. She is also survived by other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, November 9th 2024 from 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home and Cremation Center (106 Cherry St, Pineville, KY 40977). A rosary was held on Saturday, November 9th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Saturday, November 9th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Saint Anthony Catholic Church. A burial was held on Tuesday, November 12th 2024 at the Kentucky Veteran's Cemetery (1280 KY-118, Hyden, KY 41749).
