He was predeceased by: his wife Sadie Rice; and his son Donald Wayne Rice. He is survived by: his parent Willie Mae Wright Rice; his children, Jesse Daniel Rice and Glenda Young; his close friend Mary Sue Witzel; his stepmother Hester; and his siblings, Mary Jane Landrum, Betty Young, Ellen Purvis, Jim Rice and Bradley "Brad" Rice. He is also survived by seven great-grandchildren.
