He is survived by: his children, Samuel Douglas Durham, Jr. of Louisville, Kathleen Perkins (Norman) of Louisville, Susan Durham of Louisville and Mary Ann Jakobi (Larry) of Lexington; his siblings, June Sutherland (Buddy) of Butchertown and Horace; his pet Linda; his grandchildren, Christopher Perkins (Candice), Shannon Marie Kyle (Joe), Derek Perkins and David Lee King (Virginia Conn); and his great grandchildren, Leighton and Avery Kyle.
