He is survived by: his children, Robert Samuel Bishop of Moreland and Carol Maples (Mike) of Moreland; his grandchildren, Willie Bishop (Rachel) of Danville, Samantha McFerron (John) of Russell Springs and Zane Maples (Mia) of Vero Beach, FL; his great grandchildren, Maddox, Lillie Bishop, Christian Bishop, Brayden Todd, Emma and J. J. McFerron; and his close friend Joan Clark of Moreland.
