She was predeceased by: her parents, Arthur Brown and Gloria Kirkpatrick Brown; and her siblings, Brenda Jo Bottoms, Anthony Brown and Bernard Brown.

She is survived by: her husband Stephen Dale Smith; and her sons, Stephen Arthur Smith of Moreland and Nathan Ashley Smith of Danville.
