He was predeceased by: his father Joe Daniel McCowan; and his sister Lisa Ellis. He is survived by: his mother Pat Southerland McCowan of Harrodsburg; his wife Pam Russell McCowan; his sons, Josh McCowan (Brittany) of Stanford and Jeremy McCowan (Holly) of Hustonville; and his grandchildren, Caedmon, Annaleigh, Carson, Colby and Merek. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
