It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Edith Johnson (Hustonville, Kentucky), who passed away on December 1, 2019, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Jason Austin and Pearl Walls Austin; her former husband James Carlos Bastin; her husband Orville Johnson; her siblings, Arnold Austin, Eugene Austin, Glen Austin, Jason Austin, Jr., Orville Austin, Donald Austin, Alma McWhorter and Betty Sims; her grandson Todd Smith; and her great grandchildren, Cassie Smith and Isabella Berry.
She is survived by: her children, Michael Bastin (Nicki), Nellie Reed (Dale), Pennie Robbins (Carl) and Veda Poynter (Don); her siblings, Kenneth Austin (Donna) and Shirley Maples (Freeman); and her stepdaughters, Judy Loveless, Kathy Napier (Gary) and Connie Taylor. She is also survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
