He was predeceased by: his parents, Buford Smith and Rose Lane Smith; his sons, David Lee Smith, Jr. and Steve Hensley; his granddaughter Jenny Hensley; and his siblings, Fredrick Smith, Michael Smith and Mildred Hamilton.
He is survived by: his wife Georgia Smith; his children, Buddy Hensley (Janet) of Arizona, Teresa Lynn and Beverly Thornsberry (Heath) of Stanford; and his granddaughter Cayley Thornsberry of Stanford.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 23rd 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the W. L. Pruitt Funeral Home (5590 Hwy 2141, Hustonville, KY 40437). A funeral service was held on Thursday, January 23rd 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
