He was predeceased by: his parents, Hencey Greer and Maudie Williams Greer; and his siblings, James, Thurman Greer, Cynthia Greer and Cloretta Greer Rayborn.
He is survived by: his children, Sam Greer (Letty) of Indianapolis, David Greer (Becky) of Greenwood, Indiana, Regina Greer Cross (Ebert) of Kings Mountain and Ina Mandabach of Hustonville; and his siblings, Paul Greer of Stanford, Kentucky, Gladys Greer Rowland of Hustonville, Mary Greer Turpin of Stanford and Betty Sue Greer Carter of Kings Mountain. He is also survived by six grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren.
