He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond D. Julian and Zannie Hitt Julian; and his former wife Mildred Shead Julian. He is survived by: his wife Maisie Broaddus Julian; his children, Tommy Julian (Becky) of Moreland, Joe Julian (Regina) of Moreland, Pat Gisler (Robert) of Nicholasville and Vickie Haven (Ray) of Shepherdsville; his stepchildren, Patsy Whited of Junction City and Stephen Rogers (Carolyn) of Hustonville; his sister Vera Lee Fowler; and his grandchildren, Engle Mullins (Don), Chad Julian (Melissa), Lysa Link (Sean), Jonathan Haven, Nathanael Haven, Joseph Julian (Emily) and Brandie Blevins (Jimmy). He is also survived by thirteen great grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren; seven step grandchildren; thirteen step great grandchildren; and four great-great grandchildren.
