He was predeceased by: his former wife Audrey Helton Cowden; his wife Cornelia Cowden; and his daughter Vickie Kaufman. He is survived by: his daughter Teresa Bailey; his stepchildren, Ronald Sanders and Paula Benton; his grandchildren, Jason Kaufman (Sara), Leslie Brawner and Kassy Cooper (Bradley); his nephews, Benny Beaver and Jacob Beaver; and his niece Bessanna. He is also survived by eight grandchildren.
