He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Lilly Cornett and Polly Jane Griffie Cornett; his children, Colin Kelly Cornett of Hueysville, Olen Lee Cornett of Hueysville, Marilyn Halbert (Thomas) of Prestonsburg, Mercedes Smith (Michael) of Lancaster and Movina Carol Blackburn of Hueysville; and his sister Lillian Lane of Lexington.
Visitation was held on Thursday, February 13th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM at the Letcher Funeral Home (102 Main St, Whitesburg, KY 41858). A funeral service was held on Friday, February 14th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
