With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Dewey L Bentley of Hueysville, Kentucky, born in Mallie, Kentucky, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on September 18, 2024 at the age of 80. He was predeceased by: his parents, Ellis Bentley and Dolly Short Bentley; his brother Glen Bentley; his sister-in-law Martha Bentley; the mother of his children Mary Laytart; his parents-in-law, James A and Elizabeth Duff; his brother-in-law Dr. Scott Guiler; and his nephews, Dean Bentley and James Brown.
He is survived by: his wife Karen Duff Bentley; his sons, Dr. Jody Bentley (Sheryl), Big and Jon Bentley (Emily) of Lexington, KY; his brother DeVoist Bentley of Mallie, KY; his grandchildren, Alexander Blake, Nicholas Bryan Bentley, Ellen Marie, Anna Louise Bentley, Caroline Everly and Camila Ryan Jarrell; and his sisters-in-law, Glenda Bentley, Dr. Reva Guiler and Rita Osborne (Larry Joe). He is also survived by nephews, nieces, church family and special friends.
