With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Sarah Stell of Hudson, Kentucky, born in Cullman, Alabama, who passed away on July 12, 2020 at the age of 87. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Sarah Stell to pay them a last tribute.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Odes Echols and Myrtie Echols; her husband James Ray Stell; her son James Larry Stell; and her siblings, Curtis Echols (Dean), Leeviece Cagle (Boots), Wanda Harbison (Walt) and Tommy Cordis Echols.

She is survived by: her daughters, Janet Kaye Shutters (Tom), Janan Absher and Christina J. Stell; her grandchildren, Deanna Newell (Perri), Melissa Fitterer (Daniel), David Absher II (Cassie), James Absher and Dannette Flaherty; and her sisters, Connie Sanderson and Maudine Stevens. She is also survived by nine great-grandchildren; five great-great grandchildren.

Alternate expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to ALS Research or to the Humane Society.
