He was predeceased by: his parents, Odessa Metcalf Cavins and Otis Cavins; and his siblings, Vera Cavins, Danny and Gary Cavins.
He is survived by: his wife Deborah Paul Cavins of Hudson, KY.; his children, Terry, Michael Cavins, Brenda Friermuth of Northern Kentucky, Ronald Wayne Cavins of Louisville, KY and Barbara Cordell-Blackwood of Alabama, One; and his siblings, Larry Cavins (Peggy) of Florence, KY and Joan Gill (Steve).
