He was predeceased by: his parents, William E. Gillenwater and Lela Faye Gillenwater (Tucker); his son Gary Wayne Gillenwater, Jr.; his grandson Noah Meyer; and his siblings, William Gillenwater, Jr., Sarah Nation, Bonnie Snyder, Betty Upchurch, Donald Gillenwater, Jerry Gillenwater, Peggy Alvers, Linda Wells and Charles Gillenwater.
He is survived by: his significant other Elizabeth Jones; his daughters, Lisa Hope Duncan and April Faith Meyer; his grandchildren, Zachary Tyler Remke, Caleb Michael Remke and Evelyn Caroline Meyer; his daughter Bonus; his grandchildren, Reed Percival, Mya Jones and Brayden Jones; and his siblings, Beaulah Maye Morris (Todd), Deloris Faye Gray (David), Patty Joyce Donley (Ronald) and James Bevin Gillenwater (Jeanie). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
The family requests that contributions in Gary's memory be made to American Cancer Society.
