He was predeceased by: his wife Barbara Gillock; his daughter Phyllis Rountree Gillock; his parents, Johnny Gillock and Rivera Evelyn Mansfield Gillock; and his sister Wanda Tapscott.
He is survived by: his children, Johnny Gillock (Edna) and Rhonda Gillock Logsdon (Robert); and his grandchildren, Melanie Vangettie, Stephanie Sturgeon, John Thomas Logsdon, Jessica Logsdon, Anthony Hensley and Felicia Basham. He is also survived by numerous great-grandchildren.
