He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Russell and Regenia Asbury Russell; his mother-in-law Frances Dean; and his stepfather-in-law E. P. Dean. He is survived by: his wife Tonya Russell; his siblings, Robbie Russell (Shirley), Kathie Bryant (Randall), Rhonda Caswell (Louie), Barry Russell, Timothy Russell (Jennifer), Brent Russell, Alan Russell (Kim) and Celia Furlong (Steve); his brother-in-law Billy Jones (Kathy) of Jacksonville, Florida; his nieces and nephews, Keta and Gabby; and his cousin Kenny Asbury.
