Though Laura may have slipped beyond the veil of mortality, her essence lingers like a faint fragrance in the air, a lingering reminder of the beauty and complexity of the human experience.

She was predeceased by: her father Joseph A. Burks; her brother Jay Joseph Burks; and her grandparents, Joe, Bess Solomon and Elizabeth Burks.

She is survived by: her mother Linda Solomon Burks.

Visitation was held on Sunday, January 19th 2025 at 12:30 PM at the Horse Cave Christian Church (105 Guthrie St, Horse Cave, KY 42749). A funeral service was held on Sunday, January 19th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
