He was predeceased by: his parents, James "Smokey" Franklin and Carrie Mae Bell Franklin. He is survived by: his children, Francedia McGinnis of Bowling Green, KY, James Santillis Franklin (Denise) of Franklin, KY and Cortez Franklin (Carrie) of Louisville, KY; and his siblings, Mary Ann Ford of Horse Cave, KY, Carolyn Faulkner (Minister Daryl) of Munfordville, KY, Joyce Allen of Glasgow, KY, Alice Arvie of Cave City, KY and Roy Reed of Horse Cave, KY. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
