It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Georgia Pearl Childress in Horse Cave, Kentucky, who passed away on February 26, 2021, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, George William Esters and Hallie Esters Hay; and her siblings, Mae Meredith (Pearl) and Paul David Hay. She is survived by: her stepfather Archie Paul Hay; her daughter Melodye Hughes Barnes (John); her grandchildren, Hillary Carroll (Jon), Elizabeth Gabbard and Margaret Gabbard; her siblings, G. W. Esters (Penny), Archie M. Hay (Ann) and Paulette McKinney (Billy); and her sister-in-law Del Rita Hay (Liz Esters). She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
