Douglas Hensley Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Douglas Hensley (Horse Cave, Kentucky), who passed away on March 3, 2025 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Everett Hensley and Helon Forbis Hensley; his wife Judy Hensley; his siblings, Dorada Hatcher and Darrell Hensley; his niece Betina Hensley; his siblings-in-law, Randall Nunn and Linda Trent; and his parents-in-law, Fred England and Pauline England.
He is survived by: his children, Monica Sexton (Tim), Eric Hensley and Kyle Hensley (Stephanie); his grandchildren, Danielle Ponder (Doug), Tyler Hensley (Sarah), Jared Sexton (Abigail), Taylor "Allie" Welch (Briley), Shanna Hensley and Jase Hensley; his great grandchild Hannah Gwyn Ponder; his siblings, Delores Nunn, Deward Hensley (Connie) and David Hensley (Becky); and his siblings-in-law, Paul Hatcher, Ronnie England (Bonnie) and Devonna Hensley. He is also survived by several cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, March 7th 2025 from 2:30 PM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday, March 8th 2025 at 8:00 AM at the Winn Funeral Home (210 Maple Ave, Horse Cave, KY 42749). A funeral service was held on Saturday, March 8th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Monroe Missionary Baptist Church. A burial was held on Saturday, March 8th 2025 at the Conyers Cemetery.
In Lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Conyers Cemetery.
