He was predeceased by: his parents, Elon Phelps and Velma Manco Phelps; his sons, David Michael and Timothy Ray Phelps; his siblings, Noel, Donald, Sydney, Glen Phelps, Rosie Davis and Winona Jean Lowery; and his grandsons, Barry W. and Marcus E. Phelps.
He is survived by: his son Barry; his daughter-in-law Mary Phelps of Cave City, KY; his daughters, Kathy L. Beckham, Teri A. Fulcher of Bowling Green, KY and Velma (Kevin Cowles); his daughter-in-law Betty Walkup Phelps of Auburn, KY; and his sister Rita Mongold. He is also survived by several grand-children, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews, plus a host of other relatives and friends.
The family has requested that expressions of sympathy be donations to Foster Toler Curry Funeral home for funeral expenses.
